Shop Floor Manufacturing Engineer - Weekend Shift   -   BWX Technologies, Inc. -   Barberton, Ohio 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Responsible for development and support of manufacturing process plans in accordance with contract technical requirements.  The Manufacturing Engineer assumes responsibility for implementation of the manufacturing process and improvements to the process during the complete fabrication cycle.

  • Ensures all design and quality requirements are satisfied.

  • Identifies facility and tooling requirements

  • Identifies manufacturing methods and/or develops new manufacturing methods

  • Identifies material requirements and supports procurement

  • Monitors performance and controls costs of manufacture

  • Prepares technical procedures and documents

  • Resolves any problems encounterd during manufacture

  •  Works with customers and vendors as necessary

  •  Provides status and schedule support of products during the complete manufacturing cycle

  •  Prepares Program Plans as required, incorporating necessary schedule and support information

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Qualifications include strong communications skills, and interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture and adept with MRP & Microsoft Office programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of expereince, PhD may substitute for experience 
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOE issued Security Clearance
