Shop Floor Manufacturing Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for development and support of manufacturing process plans in accordance with contract technical requirements.
- The Manufacturing Engineer assumes responsibility for implementation of the manufacturing process and improvements to the process during the complete fabrication cycle.
- Ensures all design and quality requirements are satisfied.
- Identifies facility and tooling requirements.
- Identifies manufacturing methods and/or develops new manufacturing methods.
- Identifies material requirements and supports procurement.
- Monitors performance and controls costs of manufacture.
- Prepares technical procedures and documents.
- Resolves any problems encountered during manufacture.
- Works with customers and vendors as necessary.
- Provides status and schedule support of products during the complete manufacturing cycle.
- Prepares Program Plans as required, incorporating necessary schedule and support information.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Qualifications include strong communications skills, and interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture and adept with MRP & Microsoft Office programs.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, PhD may substitute for experience.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a DOE issued Security Clearance.
Pay: $81,000 - $123,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $81,000 and $123,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
