Quality Technical Specialist  - BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Barberton, OH   (2nd shift) 

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Surveillance of manufacturing operations for compliance to procedures and work instructions
  • Technical support of quality inspection, NDE and test operations
  • Review of manufacturing documentation and procedures proper documentation requirements
  • Special projects for quality engineering within the following areas:
  • Defenses in Depth reviews
  • Corrective Action follow up and reporting
  • Record Retention & Contract Closeout
  • Quality improvement projects for operations
  • Quality metrics development & reporting
  • Auditing to ISO-9001 quality procedures and instructions
  • Performs various special projects and assignments as required
  • Additional responsibilities may include but not limited to supporting mail and reproduction service

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Associate degree in engineering or technical field is required or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOE clearance
  • Ability to work safely in warehouse and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to work overtime hours as requested by supervisor
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal direction
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and research skills
  • Inquisitive and a quick learner, can get answers tactfully
  • Monitors own work, checks for errors
