Inventory Control Technician  2-  BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Barberton, OH


Salary Range: 50-70K


Responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for control and accuracy of maintenance, repair and operational supplies (MRO) distributed by Material Services. 
  • Works closely with Supervisor Material Services and Inventory Control Technician to implement measures that will ensure critical to production MRO inventory is maintained to avoid stock-out conditions.
  • Develops, communicates and implements MRO inventory cost saving initiatives.
  • Work independently and with others to assure accurate ordering of materials that comply with government regulations and company policy.
  • Works with multiple departments to develop, implement, maintain, and communicate an electronic list of all inbound materials (i.e., forgings, bar stock, tooling, weld materials), their expected delivery dates, and receiving locations to increase the performance of Material Service's receiving and warehousing operations.


Job Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Associate Degree in Business, other related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Six years Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment would be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and work effectively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including SAP, CribMaster, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CribMaster software, shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
