Inventory Control Analyst  -  BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Barberton, OH

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Monitors and ensures inventory accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, tooling and WIP throughout Material Services.
  • Working with Material Services management and hourly employees, this position initiates and completes weekly inventory cycle counting. 
  • Initiates and completes weekly inventory audits/surveillance and reports discrepancies to Material Services management and other stakeholders.
  • Based on audit/surveillance results, works with Material Services management and other departments as necessary to making inventory adjustments.
  • Works with other departments to identify and resolve underlying inventory issues.
  • Uses SAP as the main tool for inventory management and reporting.
  • Works with the weld wire procurement team as needed to batch split weld materials and other activities relating to the accuracy of the weld material inventory.
  • Makes recommendations to scrap slow moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Works with Material Services personnel and other departments as necessary to ensure all material is labeled properly to safeguard the integrity of material traceability.
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with Materials, Production, Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, Finance, Receiving, Program Management and Quality.
  • Supports special projects requiring immediate data extraction, manipulation, reporting and other inventory related activities.
  • Periodically reviews daily material/tooling movements to ensure process compliance. Reports discrepancies to Material Services management. 
  • Maintains records and prepares reports as needed.
  • Expedites material/tooling as required.
  • Creates, removes, and edits bin locations as needed in SAP.
  • Serve as backup to Inventory Control Analyst 1.

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in related discipline
  • Discipline-specific certification or other education may be required

 

 

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
