Inspection Controller - BWXT - Barberton, Ohio 



  • Work with in the Quality group to help control product flow and increase productivity.
  • Screens all upcoming work to ensure compliance and availability
  • Coordinates with FLM to direct setup, orientation, scaffolding/lifts and other aspects of the work scope to support inspection.
  • Coordinates with ET&S as necessary for proper administration of manufacturing plans.
  • Coordinates with shop schedulers as necessary to ensure proper execution of overall shop schedule
  • Directs the loading scheduling and shop floor control of all items fabricated in assigned shops.
  • Advise Shop Superintendent or Coordinator of future loads, manpower requirements and inspection requirements.
  • Investigates and makes decisions regarding shop problems with shop supervision and other groups.
  • Establishes Production Schedules in shop and controls dashboard and other systems to control production and manpower.  Issue these reports as required.



  • Minimum A.S. degree in technical field, or
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience




Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
