BWXT is currently seeking a Human Resources Intern for its Barberton, OH location!
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable HR Intern to join our ambitious Human Resources dream team! If you are passionate about HR operations and you would like to give your contribution in creating a great company culture, this is the right position for you.
At BWXT, the HR Intern is responsible for a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of our Nuclear Operations Group facility in Barberton, OH, providing technical and administrative support related to a variety of Human Resources duties. Assignments may include compiling and analyzing data, coordinating multiple concurrent activities, and interacting with individuals and groups at various levels within the organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist Human Resources staff with projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
- Prepare and conduct exit interviews for terminating employees.
- Assist in preparation of the quarterly Human Resources metrics and ad hoc reporting.
- Assist and prepare weekly running of time reports in support of payroll processing.
- Review and maintain employees’ files and filing system.
- Develop skills and knowledge of SAP and its reporting module.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with current enrollment and completed college coursework in Human Resources is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service while ensuring legal and policy compliance.
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to effectively balance multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite’s Outlook, PPT and Word. With an advanced proficiency level in Excel to produce required business reporting.
- This position supports a safety and quality driven, 24-7 manufacturing operation and requires the ability and availability to work the occasional adjusted schedule. Variations to normal work hours may include but are not limited to support of early morning meetings, engagement with the shop floor during 2nd shift evening operations, scheduled plant initiatives, unplanned after-hours investigations and pre-planned weekend employee events.
