Technical Specialist - Gage Lab Calibration  - BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Barberton, OH

 

This position is for 2nd shift

 

Responsibilities include:  

 

  • Performs a variety of duties associated with the gage laboratory including but not limited to calibration, adjusting, and maintaining dimensional inspection gaging 
  • Works with established procedures and instructions, documents calibration results, and maintains both hardcopy and digital records 
  • Distributes gaging from the lab and stocks and maintains vending systems throughout the facility 
  • Solicits request for quotes for calibration of equipment from outside sources and coordinates shipment 
  • Works with the Cribmaster and SAP to maintain records, gage utilization history, and vending machine inventory 
  • Issues gage recalls for equipment found to be out of calibration

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of Associates degree and 2 years of experience in a technical field 
  • 6 years of relevant experience in field may substitute for a degree 
  • Experience with dimensional inspection or calibration of equipment is preferred 
  • Familiarity with gage calibration, gage calibration tracking systems, measurement accuracy and uncertainty a plus 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
