We are hiring a Deep Drill Operator at our facility in Barberton, Ohio.  The individual selected for this role will set up and operate deep hole drilling machines to perform machining operations on medium-to-large components requiring exact precision.



  • Sets up parts on gun drill table according to written and verbal instructions
  • Maintains machine coolant supplies and cleanliness of system, including sump tank, holding tank, troughs, coolant filters, and cooling units.
  • Starts and observes machine, manuscript, and display tube for proper operations.
  • Sets machine feeds and speeds according to material being machined and finish required.
  • Cleans and preps surfaces for inspection. Marks completed material, job number, and heat number.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar functions is desired.
  • Must be able to recognize potential problems by reviewing manuscript as program is running and make edits, as needed.
  • Must be able to work to 0.000” tolerances and to a microfinish 16.
  • Must be able to work from blueprints, sketches, process sheets, written and verbal instructions, set-up sheets, CNC memory and/or DNC.
  • Must be able to accurately perform mathematical calculations.
  • Must provide adequate personal tools to properly perform assigned duties.
  • Must pass all required pre-employment assessments, drug screen, and physical examination.
  • Must be able to maintain detailed work records.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic, and caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal noise levels to loud.


Please note: The hourly rate for this position is $27.34 and is complimented by a generous benefits package.
