BWXT is currently seeking an Accountant for its Barberton, OH location!

Job Description/Duties:

  • Review departmental timecards to ensure employees' time is accurately recorded and completed for the Euclid and Barberton, OH sites.
  • Sign-off on the departmental timecards by the deadline.
  • Assist supervisors and employees with edits or questions regarding timecards.
  • Work with employees to resolve errors, such as missed punches, meal break adjustments, etc.
  • Prepare journal entries for month end closing.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare various reports.
  • Prepare contract closeout final cost presentations.
  • Perform quarterly and annual updates for SAP labor.
  • Provide labor timesheet detail for various audits.
  • Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency through account reconciliations.
  • Assist with other accounting functions as necessary.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) or year of related experience.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company guidelines, SOX, GAAP, and government regulations.
  • Demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly initiative-taking and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must have the ability to report to the Barberton, OH site. This is a fully onsite position.

 

Pay: $53,000 - $86,000

 

The base salary range for this position in Ohio at the start of employment is expected to be between $53,000 and $86,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
